1) Download Smart Home Cinema (ZIP)
Smart Home Cinema – Windows Package (ZIP)
The ZIP package includes both Smart Home Cinema control modes:
- Local Voice Edition — microphone-based control on your Windows PC
- Voice Assistant Edition — Alexa / Google Assistant with TriggerCMD
Each edition is available for the supported media player you prefer: PotPlayer or VLC Media Player.
The ZIP file contains everything you need to choose the setup that fits your system.
The official download is delivered securely through our official distribution infrastructure.
ZIP download size: approximately 200 MB.
The free trial includes full functionality for 14 days. After the trial period ends, Smart Home Cinema will automatically prompt you to activate a license and guide you to the official purchase page.
This button is only for checking the price.
Please don’t purchase yet — install and test the 14-day free trial first.
You’ll be able to buy the license after the trial ends.
2) Required components (before installing)
Before installing Smart Home Cinema, check the requirements for the edition you plan to use.

⚠️ Read this before installing Smart Home Cinema
Before installing, make sure you follow the setup requirements for the edition you plan to use.
Local Voice Edition
- Make sure your microphone is connected to your Windows PC and works correctly.
- No Alexa, Google Assistant, Google Home, TriggerCMD, or smart speaker setup is required.
- If you want automatic subtitle download, create an OpenSubtitles account before setup.
Voice Assistant Edition
- Your voice assistant (Alexa or Google Home) must already be linked to TriggerCMD.
- Google Home users must also create the Google routines described in the Installation Guide. Without them, some voice commands will not be recognized by Google Home.
- After installation, you must import the Smart Home Cinema command file (JSON) into your TriggerCMD account.
The Full Installation Guide currently explains the Voice Assistant Edition setup, including TriggerCMD, Alexa / Google Assistant linking, and command import.
Do not skip the setup steps for the edition you choose.
Local Voice Edition is simpler, while Voice Assistant Edition requires the
TriggerCMD and assistant setup steps to work correctly.
4) Prepare your movie folders
Create two folders on the same fixed drive / partition:
- Movies Folder – the movies or episodes you plan to watch
- Watched Movies Folder – movies you have already watched
You can name these folders however you want — the names above are just examples. What matters is that their paths stay the same after installation — Smart Home Cinema relies on them permanently.
Rules:
- Both folders must be on a drive that Windows sees as fixed (not on removable devices such as USB sticks or phones).
- Both folders must be on the same partition.
- The two folders must be different (not the same path).
- After installation, do not rename or move these folders.
The installer will ask you for these folders and will rely on the exact paths.
5) Quick install overview
The basic installation flow is the same, but the final setup steps depend on the edition you choose.
- Download the Smart Home Cinema installer package from the official Smart Home Cinema website.
- Extract the archive to any folder on your PC.
- Choose the installer that matches your preferred edition and media player: Local Voice Edition or Voice Assistant Edition, for PotPlayer or VLC Media Player.
- Make sure you have already completed the requirements from Section 3 — Configure your accounts & apps for the edition you plan to use.
- Run Smart Home Cinema – Voice Control Setup as Administrator.
- Follow the installer and complete all steps until setup finishes.
After installing Local Voice Edition
- Open the Windows Start Menu and launch the Smart Home Cinema Local Voice shortcut.
- The Local Voice icon will appear in the Windows System Tray. If you do not see it, click the hidden icons arrow near the clock.
- Right-click the Local Voice tray icon to open its menu.
- Click Start Sleeping Mode. This enables the Local Voice system and puts it in listening mode.
- Say Smart Cinema wake up to enter Command Mode.
- Once Command Mode is active, test the local voice system with: Smart Cinema status.
- Open the command reference with: Smart Cinema show commands.
- Test playback with a basic command such as: Smart Cinema play movie.
After installing Voice Assistant Edition
- Import the Smart Home Cinema command file into TriggerCMD.
- Make sure your Alexa / Google Assistant routines are configured as explained in the Installation Guide.
- After the import and assistant setup are complete, test the system with the Play Movie voice command.

Trial, License & System Changes
Before continuing, please note the following important information regarding licensing and system changes.
Smart Home Cinema includes a 14-day trial period with full functionality. We strongly recommend evaluating the software during this time.
Because the software operates fully offline after license activation, refunds are not available once a license is activated.
Each license is bound to a single Windows PC. A license rebind (for reinstalling Windows or moving to a new system) is available once every 365 days.
These rules exist to ensure system stability and prevent abuse, while still allowing legitimate system upgrades or reinstalls.
📌 Full details are explained in:
Legal & Privacy → Licensing, Trial & Rebind Policy
Once you are aware of these points, you can safely continue with the player setup.
6) Reinstalling or switching editions
Whether you are reinstalling Smart Home Cinema or switching between Local Voice Edition, Voice Assistant Edition, PotPlayer, or VLC Media Player, the procedure is the same. Following these steps ensures a clean and stable setup.
- Uninstall Smart Home Cinema – Voice Control from Windows.
-
Delete the previous installation folder from:
C:\Program Files\Smart Home Cinema - Install the edition you want to use: Local Voice Edition or Voice Assistant Edition, for PotPlayer or VLC Media Player.
- If you install the Local Voice Edition, launch it from the Start Menu, then enable Start Sleeping Mode from the System Tray menu.
- If you install the Voice Assistant Edition, import the Smart Home Cinema command file into TriggerCMD so it replaces any previous configuration.
Local Voice Edition does not require TriggerCMD. Voice Assistant Edition requires the correct TriggerCMD command file after reinstalling or switching editions.
