Limited licensing-related communication may occur only for trial initialization, license activation, and license rebind operations.

3. Local Operation

Smart Home Cinema – Voice Control runs on the user’s Windows PC and performs its own automation logic locally.

Depending on the package used, playback control may operate either through local media players on the Windows PC, such as VLC Media Player or PotPlayer, or through the user’s configured Jellyfin Server and Jellyfin client devices.

Local Voice command processing runs locally on the user’s Windows PC.

4. Internet and Local Network Use

Internet connectivity or local network access may be used only for specific product features, third-party services, or administrative actions, depending on the package and edition used.

• Trial initialization
• License activation
• License rebind operations
• Optional subtitle downloads (via OpenSubtitles)
• Voice Assistant Edition and Jellyfin Multi-Zone Edition command flow through Alexa / Google Assistant and TRIGGERcmd
• Jellyfin package communication with the user’s configured Jellyfin Server and Jellyfin client devices, typically over the user’s local network or configured server connection

For the VLC / PotPlayer package, Local Voice Edition can perform normal local movie control without Internet after the required trial or license activation steps are complete, except for optional online actions such as OpenSubtitles subtitle downloads.

For the Jellyfin package, Smart Home Cinema communicates with the user’s configured Jellyfin Server and Jellyfin client devices to send media-control commands. The developer does not operate, host, monitor, or receive the user’s Jellyfin Server traffic.

Smart Home Cinema does not send background telemetry, analytics, media-library data, playback history, microphone audio, recognized speech, or command history to the developer.

Smart Home Cinema does not monitor, log, analyze, or receive data regarding how third-party services are used and does not act as an intermediary for any third-party communications.

5. Credentials & Security

Any credentials or configuration values required for third-party services or user-configured systems are provided directly by the user.

This may include OpenSubtitles credentials, TRIGGERcmd configuration, Jellyfin server URLs, Jellyfin API keys, user identifiers, device identifiers, or similar values required for the selected package to function.

Smart Home Cinema – Voice Control does not transmit these credentials or configuration values to the developer or store them externally.

6. Third-Party Software and Components

Smart Home Cinema – Voice Control may interact with, depend on, or be used together with third-party software, services, or components, depending on the package and edition selected by the user.

These may include, where applicable:

• VLC Media Player
• PotPlayer
• Jellyfin Server
• Jellyfin client applications
• TRIGGERcmd
• Amazon Alexa / Google Assistant services
• OpenSubtitles
• Vosk speech recognition components
• FFmpeg / ffprobe, where applicable
• Python and related packages, where applicable

These third-party products, services, and components are governed by their own terms, privacy policies, and technical behavior. Smart Home Cinema – Voice Control does not control how third-party providers collect, process, store, or transmit data.

Smart Home Cinema – Voice Control is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or maintained by Jellyfin, VLC, PotPlayer, TRIGGERcmd, OpenSubtitles, Amazon, Google, Vosk, FFmpeg, or their respective owners.

7. Children’s Privacy

Smart Home Cinema – Voice Control is not intended for use by children under the age of 13.

No personal data is knowingly collected from minors.
