Full Installation & Setup Guide

Choose the setup path that matches the Smart Home Cinema edition you want to use.

Local Voice Edition is the simplest setup and uses a PC microphone. Voice Assistant Edition uses Alexa / Google Assistant with TriggerCMD.

Local Voice Edition — Quick Setup

Recommended for most users — a simple, plug-and-play style setup with only a PC microphone.

  1. Connect a working microphone to your Windows PC.
  2. Make sure your preferred media player is installed: PotPlayer or VLC Media Player. Then install the matching Smart Home Cinema Local Voice Edition.
  3. Open the Windows Start Menu and launch the Smart Home Cinema Local Voice shortcut.
  4. The Local Voice icon will appear in the Windows System Tray. If you do not see it, click the hidden icons arrow near the clock.
  5. Right-click the Local Voice tray icon to open its menu.
  6. Click Start Sleeping Mode. This enables the Local Voice system and puts it in listening mode.
  7. Say Smart Cinema wake up to enter Command Mode.
  8. Once Command Mode is active, test the local voice system with Smart Cinema status.
  9. Open the command reference with Smart Cinema show commands.
  10. Test playback with a basic command such as Smart Cinema play movie.

For automatic subtitle download, create an OpenSubtitles account before setup.
